Yes, I'm still here

Congratulations to the 2003 World Champion Florida Marlins. They've earned a special place in my heart alongside the Arizona Diamondbacks for fighting back the forces of Evil for one more year. The 2001 World Series was a lot better than this one, but this Yankee team needed to be beaten more than any I can remember after taht heart-breaking LCS. I would also like to point out that I had Josh Beckett on my fantasy team this year and didn't cut him even when he went on the DL.

With the fourth best season of the year, behind baseball's postseason, baseball's regular season and baseball's preseason, baseball's offseason, upon us, things in the New York Mets' universe may get interesting again one of these days. That elaborate and probably poorly constructed sentence is ironic given my staunch pro-winter, anti-summer stance regarding the weater, but it would be hard to play baseball games outdoors in the winter, so I'll have to live with this contradiction.
